Will these work if I have a bony ridge?

Modified on Thu, 26 Feb at 12:32 PM

When it comes to a pronounced ridge or bony area on the lower jaw, it can definitely affect how a denture fits and feels, especially with traditional dentures. Since our product is designed to be a non-custom, at-home fit, it can work for many people — but larger ridges can make the fit more difficult or require extra adjustment.

In some cases, customers with prominent bone ridges do still find success using our denture by making small modifications (like removing some of the soft-fitting material underneath or using adhesive for added comfort and security). However, since we aren’t able to physically examine the fit or make adjustments in-person, we can’t guarantee that our product will work well in every unique case like yours.

That said, many customers try the denture to see how it feels — and we’re always here to offer fit support and guidance if you decide to give it a shot. If your dentist mentioned needing the ridge shaved before wearing a denture comfortably, it’s definitely worth keeping that in mind as you decide what’s best.
